QUOTE OF THE DAY Olympic and world champion Justin Gatlin after the IAAF, track and field's international governing body, ruled that his recent 100-meter record time of 9.76 seconds, set at the Doha Super Grand Prix meet last Friday in Qatar, should have been manually rounded up to 9.77 due to a mistake in the reading of the result. Gatlin now shares the record with Jamaica's Asafa Powell. "It is very disappointing to me that it has taken five days to determine the official time of a race with this significance. I remain confident that I am the world's fastest man and I look forward to proving it once again. My parents raised me to be a good sport, but I don't want to share the world record."
